True Self

Individuality
Unique
One-Of-A-Kind
These words are used more than ever in today's youth

You cut off one of your boys from diaper days because he couldn't amaze
You walkin' 'round smokin and drinkin to be down with the haze
You bought that shirt because all your friends have it
You started saying stuff like "baii" and "yuurr" because he sounded slick

So how are you different?

When you decide to not do right
And act like you so bout dat life
But at the end of the day ya moms making your bed
And since you ain't got no job she giving you yo bread

While

Breaking these young girls hearts
Because it was in your group it doesn't look the part
To sit down and love that girl, so you make her eyes water
Will it be funny when it happens to your daughter?

Wait

My ladies I ain't forget about you
And the way y'all walk around half naked because its cute
But when did looking nice and being a lady
Get replaced by bad bitches being wavy

Now

Lets talk about social networking
Because y'all make me laugh
When y'all wondering why can't get a man
On Facebook shaking ya ass

And

Talking bout I know how to roll a blunt so wife me
I'm sorry but that is so dumb it's a lil crazy
Why don't none of y'all know how to cook anymore
Because to me that's a real woman to be scored

But

You probably looking at me funny now
Sitting here trying to rationalize
Thinking I'm some lame who need to take her bow
But hey you don't got to listen to me
Look with your own eyes

I am 17, getting ready to graduate high school. I am also a dancer, but I love to write. It is how i escape from the world. When i write a rhythm flows through my heart and soul which escapes through my hands and on to my canvas
