True Words

Multiplicity of meaningless mouthings…

Witless words…

Gushing sallow sounds serving

As insufficient bandages

For the hollowing holes in my heart.

The never-ending noise of human heartache-

A melting maze of meticulous madness…

Spinning… spiraling

…into emptiness…

Yet amid the mire of tainted truths and lifeless lies-

Of sanitary soulless sound,

Reality punctures suffocating sterility.

True words-

Gentle and painful,

Piercingly profound…

Stretching across vast void-

The daunting distance from soul to soul-

Healing the hellish holes in human hearts…

By song.
