The True You
You left my side a few weeks ago and I can’t lie I cried for you. You were my lover and my best friend so why would you do this to me? The true you.
You were tempted by the negatives just to gain attention,
I don’t get you
What we had was real so why misuse you?
The true you.
Your beautiful and kind why can’t you see that?
Are you blind to the fact that you can’t see you?
The true you.
Well I see you while others don’t.
My soul and your soul are connected so you can’t break through.
You think you found someone better but does he know the real you?
Does he know what goes on in your head like I do?
Can he answer your questions before you finish like I do?
The true you.
The true you belongs with me so come back to me.
I will protect you through all you go through.
Your smile makes me smile and your laugh makes me laugh
So when you cry of coarse I cry
The true you
I feel your pain and heartache
Let me nurture you
The true you
You and I will sore beyond this world and enter a place only designed for you and I
Take my hand and let’s soar together
Be mine and let’s dine together so I can see your beautiful smile and laugh one more time.
The true you.
