Truly End It

Lately I find myself humming the lyrics to songs about you

Usually when I'm lonely or sad or angry with the world

For a little bit of time you were my center

and it's nice to know that you found a way to stick around

On occasion my mind likes to dream about you

can't decide if it's from a bad day or maybe I just refuse to let you go completely

In any case, I wake up with fond memories

and it's nice to know you can still make me smile

Every once in a while I look for you

but we both promised the end

sometimes I wish we could never go without

and it's sad to know that you've been keeping up with your end of the bargain

and I wonder if it's easier for you and what that could mean
