Truly Free?

Some believe you are truly free But what they fail to see Is the barriers that lie between oneself We are not one of the same Yes as one we both look from The portails that had seen through pain and shame All once worthy of a name I look through divided eyes To find myself But when i look out Locked behind key and chain I see nothing but two souls prying out One out to conceive the better form of me while the other hides behind forsakenly Are we truly free? Fighting each other to see the difference of what is to be?

In this poem I try to express how oneself can have a inner conflict, and can feel trapped. Not knowing which way to turn
