Truly myself
My heart pounds louder with every sprint of my being,
my lungs ache from compressions of excitement,
my mind seems to wonder through worlds.
I create and destroy, get into trouble and get awarded,
create a sense of a new life outside my own.
In the mist of it all, the creature of my destiny creeps into my real life.
It changes my body first, making me grow like hope,
making me reach not just the sky but to the moon.
I feel my cells move through my body, reproducing in speed.
My hands don't feel like mine anymore,
like added wax onto a candle stick.
My face is a new canvas as they say,
as my face finds its proportional counterparts.
I seem to breathe deeper yet I don't trust my body,
something I have never experienced before.
Flaws are found in every corner, each one becoming a milestone of acceptance.
Bringing a different kind of love than the love of my belongings.
Then it changed my perspective.
I saw objects with more meaning than before, each piece bringing new emotions.
Expression became a stranger I would meet on a train,
something that had once been unknown to something I experience everyday.
Deeper thoughts flood my simple mind, dark deep thoughts.
I don't understand and yet everything makes sense.
Craving others with their feeling of reassurance.
Waves of comprehension hit the sides of my brain as it moves in circles.
I form more words, more ways to understand who I am.
It changes my hopes and dreams,
instead of becoming an astronomer, I became a believer,
insead of wanting to be president, I became a leader for myself and others,
instead of dreaming, I am doing.
It seems as though I have developed new parts of myself, smaller parts of myself.
I don't loose a lot in this, I gain more than expected as my dreams shrink to realism.
Becoming human is what I am doing and my hopes and dreams aren't all cheerful.
I hope to fail, I hope to learn, I hope to be better.
My dreams aren't one specific idea, it is like a tree.
I have a single seed to help others, with that seed it grows to others to help,
creating a bond from one person to another.
