Trust

Once I did trust,

I was so foolish

To be caught in lust

I was caused to blush

Once I did trust,

My tears fell like rain

I was left in the dust

My heart had been drained

Once I did trust,

I experienced heartbreak

His excuse was unjust

I shattered like an earthquake

Once I did trust,

On a very fine night

To fall into lust

Now I know what is right
