Trust
I walk through the doors in the morning each day
Boys and girls sucking face as if they're gonna stay
Together through the years till death do them part
But then the bullshit and lies start breaking hearts.
You think you've found the one?...
We're only in high school.
He says he loves you a ton?...
Girl, you're such a fool.
Just wait, soon enough his true colors appear
A chameleon changing shades when his friends are near.
Delusional dreamer, stand up for yourself
So you're not just another trophy up on his shelf.
He's not what he seems
Just a pig in disguise
Big, bad, and mean
Like all other guys.
Prince Charming at first with his smiles and love
Writing songs for you 'cause you're the world to him.
I wish you'd have the strength to rise above
his fakeness that grows while all hope dims.
Sloppy seconds, ha, guess its you're turn now
He's just a cat on the prowl, stalking prey, meow.
Take a shot at his game you have no chance to win
After all, now you're just trash from a trash bin.
I thought we were friends, family forever
Dream team on defense denying what comes near
Stabbed in the back, but it's whatever
Guess from now on I'll remember to steer clear.
