Trust Issues

Trust is like a glass house, Hard to build, but easy to break Sometimes even portrayed as fake. It’s nothing to play with, but so many do. We give it to people when we feel, one plus one equals two. It’s something to cherish, something to share so how about you pull up a chair. So let me tell you about trust, it’s not a need, but a must. It’s something you have to ponder, as it makes the heart grow fonder. Unfortunately, today its value is zero, when in actuality it should be treated like a hero. Years to build, seconds to break, no wonder our society is full of hate. Once it’s gone it’s hard to get back, yet people treat it like a plain ol’ snack. There once was a time when trust was key, but now we just throw it away like day old tea. Don’t point fingers, it’s inside of us where the problem lingers. My mother once said “treat others the way you want to be treated”, yet we wonder why every is always so heated. It seems like even with all this school, our society is still so cruel. So, next time someone says “I trust you” make sure you don’t let them down. And when you don’t you’ll be the talk of the town. If this poem got to you, here’s some tissues. Call me Drake, because we all have trust issues.
