Trust Within

Trust within the heart comes easy in the beginning

Love overshadows all we see

Emotions and judgments are effortless for the winning

When the other holds the key

Life's trials and tribulations are far from every thought

It's lessons still to be taught

Sensations bubble to the surface

Passions become all consuming

Ideologies become disoriented in time and space

We deliberate in presuming

For thing always sought

Thinking of only the love brought

If only the heart knew the pain yet to come

Trust should be earned n'er just bestowed

For that's when you grow to be numb

And travels are burdened down life's road

Until the whole is overwrought

And it feels all for naught
