Trust Yourself

I'm on a journey towards discovery. Step by step, Every mistake I make, I am constantly learning. I've learned make up smudges when you rub your eyes And drips off your face When you feel the loneliest And all you can to do Is cry into a collection of lost tears. I've learned it's hard to trust; Mainly because people lie. Even the ones closest to you. So if they are the cause Of tears and misery Why listen to them? I've learned to trust myself. I am the lion with courage. I believe No matter who you are Everything will be alright. You can roar Louder than the crashes of the ocean waves. Trust yourself, But be merciful to those who have done you wrong. Learn to forgive. Carry your pride. Never be afraid to show people the real you.
