The Truth

Don’t kiss me just because you think I want it.

Don’t kiss me because the world says you have to.

Don’t kiss me because you feel sorry for me.

Kiss me because your lips long for my lips

just as much as your mind longs for my mind.

Kiss me because you can’t live another moment

without the feel of my lips against yours.

Kiss me because you want me to know

just how much love you feel for me.

Don’t just kiss me because you can,

because I am full of cracks and you might just shatter me.
