The Truth
His words are saying
I don’t want you that way
His body language
Tries to push me away
Whenever I’m around him
I just want to hold him in my arms
To tell him that I love him
And to keep him from harm
He pushes me away
And then he holds me close
He tells me that he wants me
And then he just says no
I know that he’s a jerk
But sometimes he’s just so sweet
Like when he holds me in his arms
And he opens up to me
He tells me his hopes
His dreams, and his fears
And even though we’re far apart sometimes
Remembering makes me feel so near
So near to him, like I’ve never been
A confidant, maybe more than a friend
But what he doesn’t know is what I see
That in his eyes…he really loves me
And though he’d never admit it
Though he’d never say a word
Sometimes…sometimes I wish he would
And when we part, it wouldn’t hurt
He doesn’t want to get in my way
Wants me to succeed
To move on, and move away
But…he is all I need
Music, it’s my dream
It’s everything in a shell
And while it helps sometimes when we’re apart
Every song reminds me of him and it feels like hell
