The Truth Is......

Because I love you, I would stop everything I am doing for your needs,

Because I love you, is why I am still here even though you have pushed me away again and again and again and again times one hundred,

Because I love you, I run back to you to forgive me because I felt that without you I was nothing

Because I love you, I forgave more than I should have,

Because I love you, I lost you, my friends, my loved ones, and most importantly ....myself

But the truth is……..loving you was more like poison then a safe haven

Deadly kisses, tangled love, eyes yet too devising, a look so innocent but you

You are something else…….but then

Now, I love someone else because they are there when I most need them, they don’t walk away from me like if I was the problem

I love someone whose eyes show nothing but love

I love someone who cares to show and tell me everyday I am worthy

I love someone who is trustworthy, intelligent, and adorable

A person who makes me laugh when I don’t even feel like smiling

And no, I’m not saying a found a new lover but I have found love in my best friend who’s showed me that love doesn’t have to come from a partner.

But the truth is…..I forgive you, even if you never asked for forgiveness, because I loved you

And because I loved you, I have to let you go and I can honestly say I have let you go and I hope you do too
