Truth

Sometimes

The truth hurts

And I promise

I've been hurt before

by the truth

But even though

the truth hurts

it is worth everything

to tell the truth

Truth

when we do something

and afraid to say we did it

we lie

we don't feel good about it

but we didn't want to get in trouble

so we lied

we know that lying

isn't the right thing to do

but we do it anyway

Sometimes

life changes

and you start to seem

happier

and when it does

you try harder

harder to do the right things

and you end up telling the truth
