The Truth

See, people think of a writer as someone who expresses them self, I'm not here to debunk that assumption, Simply support it. See when you go through my life, You have to know what you can and can't say. Luckily, the pen won't judge you. See me; I was sexually harassed as a kid, So growing up I didn't know it was wrong, So as I got a little older I did the same. When people would ask though, I had to know what I could and couldn't say. A horrific cycle of hurt and abuse, I didn't know that I was causing trauma, I was just doing what I was taught. It doesn't stop there though. Not having the parents that would have "the talk" with me also hurt, Because at 13 I went out and did what no one would tell me about, I was so young but so intrigued. Now I wish someone would've told me about it. Consequently, I have to know what I can and can't say to my parents or hers. See that's not quite it either. At 16, I began selling to try and support myself and my mom, She lost her job of 14 years and we were stuck for 2 years with no money. So to the school and to police, I knew exactly what I could and couldn't say. So you see, my life is no joke and people that hear my story may judge me or even take legal action. The pen never judges me, never will, and it'll never judge you either. See I let it all out when I hold the pen, That's why I write.
