The Truth

My father was never around

He was like a ghost to me

Now i'm growing up becoming successful

He wanna get close to me

This nigga had me hungry

Hungry enough I almost starved to death

Started a war with me

Just cause you missed me?

Ma dukes worked two jobs

Little brother got shot

Damn the heat from that one bullet

That shit two lives

Little bro never got to show his talents

Now I'm out here living a dream

Not just mine but his

Even though bro caught that heat

Life was so unsteady it was like an earthquake

When moms got off she had to rock me to sleep

Always cried myself to sleep

Cause I thought no one would love me

My father came around like a merry-go-round

Nigga was always in and outta town

Never knew I wore a crown

Maybe a son too you but a king to the town

Can't nobody keep me down

Cause even though I wasn't found

I never frowned

I fuckin made it in this town

The woman that broke her water like an ocean

Just for me to see I can do anything

She means the world to me

Never left me

Im through even though you aint

Ill let you rethink

Maybe I am the truth

But be real, Who are you?
