The Truth

This is sound with shape and form This is sound with purpose, but more This is sound with a passionate storm This is sound we love With this, the latter is true It shapes our lives And saves them too With this, the latter is true Born into poverty, hate, and crime Some turn to this as a means of escape It provides a place of rest Of bliss Of love With this sound, the latter is true It sparks a flame deep inside It ignites the fire in our youngs’ eye It is amazed and adored But often overlooked Some find it frivolous, minute, all but astute But those undoubtedly saved won’t hesitate to say, Music is love And this is true
