the truth
i had to tell you
i kept it inside
i had to tell you
it was eating me alive
when you said I love you
the very first time
i said it back
but you couldn't read my mind
I didn't mean it
but i knew eventually I would
So I hid it
as best as I could
when i told you
you hid your pain
you twisted it
and told me you did the same
we both know
that thats not true
because right after
you asked if it meant we were dating
it was too soon
only been a few weeks
it was so fast
but your truth speaks.
