The truth about love

The truth about love?

It will suck the living heaven out of you.

Keep in mind I didn't say hell.

That, my friend, tends to stay

Even after your heaven leaves you

Those demons will enter your mind

Even after the angels sang from your aching heart

Encompassing each canyon carved from rivers of love

You never thought would end in drought

It will drain and dry your soul,

It will kill every plant and so help you god

You hope that there will be a drop of rain to be your savior

You hope and pray that there will be something other than warm tears

And salt water, full of woe

And you will wish that instead of the dried, crusted ground

You could go back to fresh soil
