The truth about senior year

I’ve seen where I am to go.

Everyone asks, what do I want?

Searching for answers, don’t know.

Trying hard to act nonchalant.

Everything is going to be new.

Strangers everywhere, I’m confused.

Just trying to find what’s true.

Stressful, maybe I’m just being used.

Feel like I’m doing it wrong.

Higher grades! Push yourself they say.

Want to dance to my own song.

All I want is out, waiting until may.

I want to enjoy myself, by how?

I’m making the decisions that will change my whole life.

These scary thoughts circling now.

Right now I’m under a lot of stress this poem really explains the things that I’m worried about and scared of, it also explains how I feel like I should be acting instead of admitting that I’m afraid. Even though I've decided where I want to go to college, I still have to decide what I want to do. Most all of my friends are under stress similar to mine so we aren't enjoying our last year together. This and so much more is weighing me down and this poem was just what was on my mind when I wrote it, since college is almost always on my mind.</span></span></p>
