The Truth Be Told

"I gave this to you because I love you," he said,

and me being me, I believed every word,

the flowers and notes and everything that led,

who would have thought that he would get bored.

Being in love means much more saying the word,

because some boys will do anything,

even if that means sinning towards the Lord,

and that's not something a girl can go fixing.

"Why do you always look at me like that?" I asked,

and when I looked over, I could see him blush,

and suddenly into my eyes he basked,

"Because I love you," he said, almost in a rush.

That's how I knew,

the truth be told,

that was my cue,

I would grow up with him until we were old...
