Truth Drain
When He Was Nine Years Old, He Was Then Told,
His Dad Will Not Be Coming Home At All,
The Boy Laughed In Disbelief And Felt Cold,
“You’re Joking.” He Said, Staring At The Wall,
His Mom Then Cried And The Old Pastor Sighed,
His Grandma Then Pulled Him In For A Hug,
Grandma Cried, “ I’m So Sorry But He Died”,
Still In Disbelief, He Stared At The Rug,
“You’re Lying To Me,” He Started Again,
“He Wouldn’t Leave Me Alone, I Swear!” He Said,
He Still Stared At The Rug And Heard An ‘Amen’,
“Stop, He Is With His Friends.” He Claimed Instead,
But The Truth Is, It Was Worse Than He Said,
He Wasn’t With Friends, And Now My Dad Is Dead
