The Truth to Life

A heart with scars can never fully heal
Once you're lost nothing's ever real
Life is short, it goes by fast
But pain is long and always last
You try to stand and fall back down
You start to crawl forward but get turned around
The pain is strong and I am not
The memories stay and now I'm lost
The water is rising
I'm going under
I've lost all hope and gone asunder
No longer am I an innocent child
My loss is great
The pain's not mild
I'm drifting away like a boat on the sea
I am no longer the girl I used to be
