The Truth in My Words

It’s too much to handle,

The pains that I feel,

I need an escape,

I need time to heal.

The words just pour out,

As I write on the page,

There’s no need to think,

Or to cry, or to rage.

The lines that appear,

So graceful and true,

It’s hard to believe,

From my heart they all drew.

In the words that I’m writing,

A face of a girl,

With a life that is constantly,

All in a whirl.

I look in her eyes,

And that face that I know,

And realize writing,

Is the right way to show.

Her eyes are so calming,

That the world seems to stop.

The whirlwind has mellowed,

But the beauty has not.
