Truth or Words

Words

Empty, fleeting, fickle words

Do this assignment, read these pages

How many words do you speak in a day?

How many of them actually mean something?

God spoke and breathed life

The teacher spoke and breathed….

What

Are you doing in my life?

Life is more than books and study

Teach me more than books and study!

You want me to figure out a list of math problems

While I can’t even figure out my list of life problems

Teach me to make good financial decisions

Teach me how to deal with my dad’s death

The importance of investing in people

And what truly makes us valuable

Teach us the truth that lies outside the true or false

If you think those tests and quizzes leave that classroom you are sadly mistaken

But truth will go with us we ever we go

And truth is what we are all searching for.
