Truth of Valentines Day

Couples around me romancing

Married couples celebrating

People on their first dates

Exchanging loving gifts….

...But as I sit in my room

Watching Netflix, all alone

Eating a variety of chocolates from my father

Cuddling with my pup

A silky white and apricot cavachon

Instead of a male

I realize

Independence isn't loneliness…..

…..It's strength
