Try and Filter Me

In a world so concerned with

appearances,

filters have simply become an

expectation.

If you don't put a filter on your photos,

people won't filter their comments

as they slam you down

down

down.

You'll be an alien-

an outcast,

can't you see?!

If you avoid using a filter everyone will just think you're

ugly!

And all our lives we are taught to care

what people think.

So slap a filter on that photo, and make those lips a tad more

pink!

Unless of course, you're just like

me.

Fuck all those who judge what they

see!

I don't need a filter on my

thoughts,

words,

or memories.

I am more concerned with capturing the real

thing!

"Filter this! Filter that!" It's all they

sing.

No one remembers what the world was like

when we appreciated natural

beauty!

Sepia, vintage, black and white.

Finding the perfect filter can be quite the plight.

And if I don't find just the right

one

to describe me,

I'll be a thing of the past-

history!

How scary of a thought!

Without a filter,

I will be forgot.
