Try to Make It Better
Why do bad things happen to good people?
It's just a mystery to me.
I don't get why the young die so suddenly
or why the man down the street can't see
or why Sally Lost her memory.
Why all these tragedies?
Why all these hardships?
I wish I could just take them all away
Take their pain and erase it.
Make it seem like it never was there.
But I can't do that, so what should I do?
I must do what I can
Little things to care for the broken
To carry the week
To comfort the mourning
To protect the victims
To change things for the better
So people don't ask anymore
Why do bad things happen to good people?
I truly don't know
But I can't change it
There's only one thing I can do...
Try to make it better.
