Try On My Shoes

Darkness, darkness all around

When will all this sorrow drown?

Sitting, staring, thinking, crying,

All the while I wish I was dying.

Who said I would receive this fate?

I didn’t ask for so much always on my plate.

People think they know who I am,

But really not a single person can truly understand.

Don’t tell me how I feel and don’t tell me what to do,

Don’t even think about it until you try on this shoe.
