Try to take this Old Soul's strength
You can take my family
Take my friends
Take my sanity
My wits end.
Try to take my strength
The inner strength present since before birth.
For the old soul
Strength
Is ever present within.
Take me to hell and back,
Lord knows you have.
Strand me on a desert island
No food, no love, no chance for life.
Try to take this Old Soul's strength,
I will prevail.
