Tuesday Night

Sometimes I miss you

so much it hurts

physically

mentally

emotionally

But you played me

like the strings

of a rhythm guitar

in the middle of an

Arctic Monkeys song

that does not exist

You do not exist

You no longer exist

If you were Jim

and I were Kate

we’d be forgetting each other

more easily

than we should

in some Indie film

that makes people cry

Tears flowing down

my cheeks

staining my face

with the pain

you gave me

I need to get better

No

I want to get better

For me

For you

For us

Because I can no longer

live a lie

You never loved me

and I should never

have thought

you did
