A Tulip in the Sky by Crystal L Thomas

If I died today or if I died tomorrow

the sky would still be blue and the tulips would still bloom

but my tortured heart would cease to beat

finally coming to rest after the war.

But if I died tomorrow my dreams would be unfulfilled

and my soul not at peace.

So I strive to see another day

to see another tulip bloom

to fulfill my dreams.
