The Tulips
Through the brisk breezes of the chilly seasons,
to the lukewarm winds of this solemn night,
I leave all hopeless thoughts and dreary reasons
that I will be lost with candle's dimming light.
On this new moon night, my perception is flickering along
with the air that rushes and engulfs the feeble life.
The lay of the land sways with the flame, to the wind's song.
Though, I know the darkness will not ensue something rife.
When the wind blows away this candle, it guides a scent.
Since that day, many twilights have overwhelmed my being.
Though, each time the renmants of this wretched soul went
in search of the field where fate invoked this eternal feeling.
I reminisce often, of those violet tulips I gave to you.
The fragrance finds me and whispers that you are near.
This air carries the same fragrance and morning dew.
The essence of your being puts an end to my forsaken fear.
My beloved, you just may never truly understand,
why my heart beats to feel the warmth of your tulip-scented hand.
