Tune

Location

The melody sings
Over everything else,
Lilty,
Free,
And lithe;
She leaps and bounds playfully
Like a child in a meadow,
A streaming, gleaming pool of notes
Plinking just above the sky.
But she'd be all alone
If it weren't for the brave harmony,
Quiet,
Strong,
And wise,
Swooping in to save the day
When things start to sag.
The harmony scoops the melody up
In her unified, valiant arms
Following just beneath the singing voice;
A safety net,
A supporting song,
Flowing effortlessly like waves along the current.
Together they intertwine,
Two beings so in love
That they make a tune,
And their
Souls are wrapped
Around
Each other
Until the final notes drift off.
