Turn It Up

Turn it up
The bleeding in your ears couldn’t be worse than the bleeding in your heart
Drown them out
Drown the shit out
You control the volume
You control the song
If you can’t control your life
You can turn that shit up
Drown out the doubt
Drown out the pain
Ride it out.
It goes away eventually
At least partially
Turn it up until the bleeding in your ears matches the bleeding in your heart
If you blow your ear drums you can’t hear their doubts
If you can still hear your own thoughts
Turn it the fuck up
You don’t deserve it.
This is not you
Convince yourself you have some piece of control.
The bleeding in your ears could never match the bleeding in your heart
You used to listen to all the good girl songs
Now you listen to the shit that makes you feel.
Drown it out
Turn it the fuck up.
