Turn it off

I was driving up the state.
With my dad both ways.
12 hours in a weekend.

Just to see a face that made me hate the taste in my mouth
The taste of raw kale and raw beets, and my sheets haven't been washed in 2 weeks.

I feel like that freeway tree with no love in its leaves.

Turn on the radio now please
I hear a common pop song

Yeah fuck it, turn it off
