Turn it around

Its all good on the outside.

On the outside its all good.

Its all good on the outside.

On the outside its all good.

The work,

The façade,

The camoflauge of a wound

An internal scar

My memory I cannot erase,

My heart struggles.

You are always here,

But yet you are always there.

I’m whole on the outside.

On the outside its all whole.

I’m whole on the outside.

On the outside its all whole.

I am maimed

In a way no one else can see.

I have been disabled

By the loss of you, my Father.

Death is not final,

It lives within my heart.

I overcome each day

The paralysis of my very being.

If I repeat I will believe.

I will believe if I repeat.

If I repeat I will believe.

I will believe if I repeat.

I survive each day

This disabling pain.

My pain that makes me strong

My pain that pushes me forward.

If I repeat I will believe.

I will believe if I repeat

I repeat that I am strong

I believe I will make you proud.
