Turn out the lights

Satin pillows and brighten lanterns all seemed so magical, encased in silence. but with the flip of one switch, Domino's light tumbles down, ......you turned out the lights. Frozen to the floorboards below, my body paralyzed by the surrounding black. Vision unclear and senses blurry, we all know what lurks in the night. like a jet plane my blood courses my muscles quake, and mind strays. making leaps and strides up the stairs, bumps from the invisible wall. cocooned under my protection. Monsters can't reach me here. that dark shadow in the corner dwells, the night filled with Restless stares. the morning breaks, shining through the window, the corner inhabited by a flower robe
