Turn of the Wheel
Oh cruel Fortune of Man,
how you turn and writhe:
these prophesies
of honest lies!
You tease, you torment
you crucify:
all in lusting
for victim's cries.
Oh virt’ous Heart of Man,
why doth thou boldly sway?
Why doth thou heed
the siren's song?
Still at your end,
twas your desire who
held the dagger
all along,
while you turned The Wheel…
