A turn for the worse


I think of Her every day
When I see Her in my mind
She is in a field, twirling, surrounded
by flowers with a beautiful smile
on Her face
Her laugh plays off in the background
and She calls out sweetly to me
but before I can get close enough
To receive Her warm embrace
The carpet of love is pulled from under me
Sending me cascading down to the Earth
I land in utter darkness
And in the distance I see Her
I stumble to my feet and try
To pursue
But instead of getting closer to Her
She begins to fade in the darkness
I cry Her name over and over again until
I fall to my knees
My body taxed from the experienced
She disappears out of sight
And with Her gone, the shadows around me
Seem to grow colder and they start
To move, soon they are engulfing me
Taking me under to rise no
More.....
