Turning

Walking, running, chasing, pacing

Images never erasing,

Running towards a better past,

Sometimes love will never last

Seeing those in my wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Watching, waiting, concentrating,

On what’s to come and what’s staying,

Staying in my life for years,

Some things will bring me to tears.

It doesn’t matter who you are,

If you believe, you can go far.

Far beyond the tall oak trees,

Past the mountains and the seas,

Life is buzzing like the bees,

Now I’m down here on my knees.

Praying to the God I love,

Praying to Him up above.

And I know His love is real,

His love is what makes me feel,

Makes me feel all the great things,

And even occasionally the bad things.

I’m running towards a better past,

Life is not always a blast.

Not everybody gets what they asked.

But even when all this time has passed,

My worship for Him will always last.
