Turning Cogs

Tick tock goes the clock

The clock yells "get up for school"

I smack it and tell it to shut up

The clock does not make me tick

It simply creates the misery

That stop the cogs from turning

Click click goes the car

Telling me to not be late

I make it run a mile to school

And leave it on a street to rest

It reminds me of my new independence

That wipe the dust off the cogs

Bring bring goes the bell

Telling me its time for a break

Within four minutes it yells at me "the break is over"

Almost like the clock

The sound reminds me of how important this is

And makes the cogs work slowly

Tap tap goes the keyboard

Working and working away

The spacebar takes the slaps

The keys take the pokes

To help me create a video masterpiece

As the cogs work intensely

Bring bring goes the bell

As I say goodbye to the hard working keyboard

That never fails to put a smile on my face

Click click goes the car

Saying how it missed me so

Hm hm I say to myself

As I contemplate the future in my head

Merely a dream hoping to be a reality

Someday in the world

As I dream that beautiful dream

I remember what gets me to tick

What turns my cogs

That little keyboard

That works so hard

To form my magnificent masterpieces

When I think of that keyboard

I remember the first time it made me tick

The first time it made the cogs work intensely

As I sit there

I smile

And remember the time I first thought

What the Little Engine thought

To make his cogs turn

I think I can

I think I can

I think I can

I know I can

The cogs turn intensely

The first time I thought it

The cogs turn intensely

When I still think about it
