Turning Corners

I turn the corner

lose control

she is not mine

I can feel it now

feel her

hugging my chest

happy birthday

scream in silence

don’t speed

it’s 3:34am

you won’t let me rest

choking on my pain

dying

STOP crying

breathe

it meant nothing

it meant everything

tears stream

bite my knuckle

make it bleed

swallow the pain down to

my heart

watery green light

left hand turn

salty tears in my mouth

gliding down my cheek

my nose is running

home
