Turning Everything Around & Upside Down
F. F. F. D. F. D -
My grades were typical. How I was not surprised. I never do homework; I never take the time to actually pay attention to the class. I can’t sleep at home, so I might as well sleep while I’m here.
The yelling was never ending, yet I was being told to complete my homework.
Yelling.
Slamming.
More yelling.
I tried; that’s the best I can say. I know how to interpret the information that’s on the paper; I just don’t want to take my own time to do it.
Then I realized there was more to the whole school and grades thing.
Attending a new school with new people that were potentially going to be new friends. New teachers to not understand and struggle explaining how I got the problem on my homework right. New grading scale.
At first the struggle was the same, not wanting to participate or complete anything. Then I actually thought about my future.
Sitting in a class with not knowing anyone really forces someone to pay close attention to what’s being taught. “Explain how a lobotomy was done.” Simple, they took a large nail and hammer and pulled up the eyelid and hammered the nail up into your frontal lobe to completely change who you are.
As I discovered it’s easier than anticipated; I began doing my homework, participating in class.
A. B. B. A. A.
I guess when you put a little effort into it, you can change everything.
Now college is an option; complete high school with good grades and understand the information instead of sleeping through every class.
