[TW] Rape of The Gemini

My twin bellowed and bought my flower

Swallowed in discomfort and bucked

My likeness tortures at all hours

Every mirror, glass, and metal

Reminds me of that jet-black polished chrome, boiling, kettle night

Steep slopes, forcefully groped

Crescendo deafening most

He conquered, he didn't seem bothered by the bruises and scars he left

Submit! Don’t resist!

Warm foggy mirrors make fits

I see myself in that little kid

I bit, and clawed, and kicked

But his thumping, never stumping his own wit, like a hawk he preys on the far

Most face strangers, I face myself

Now I put my face on the shelf

Groping plastic eyes expose

Shone white light in the dark, ghost-white room, blinding

Widening my binding lavender hymn

Gasping, falling, failing, slipping, begging

Mother sweetly sang hushed lullabies

Mother silently sings deafening cries

Cruel surreal gemini kills innocence

Like a warm soft breeze against cotton dreams

I escape, melt into precious slumber

He continues

I am used

Amused, he passes, blinding masses chuckle

He fixes his flaccid buckle

The waxing evil fell upon me, never to be undone

Like the burning desert sun

Yin to my yang betrays, flowered fun

Eros shot his old, yellowed, gun

The rainy day reaper comes for us all

Asmodeus' milk brings sour trickle down my chin

Mammon’s milk sweetly crumbles down my cheek

His grin is just like mine

I pray this is the last time

Pray tell, who is the enemy?

I am the face of the enemy.

Yarn of innocent yearning cut short

That blaze of burning smothered sort

Thwarted by the highest court of fools

I am the enemy.

Annette M Velasquez
Raw, riveting and disturbing yet exquisitely crafted. This poem has so many levels and dimensions it is eclectic in it's references and metaphors. Your poetic skills are very intricate, the language and imagery is powerful, although the poem is "dark," and emotionally searing your word choices make it a piece of art. This affect the reader on so many perspectives.
