Twice Upon A Time

Wed, 07/11/2018 - 22:16 -- Sherano

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful girl. This girl had eyes as deep and flawlessly flawless as oceans that men would gladly dive into. This girl had a voice as smooth as silk, that men would gladly envelop themselves in. This girl had skin as perfect as a blank canvas, that men would paint over and over with the brushes of their hands; the bristles of their fingers. She wandered into each one’s life, with a story to tell. Once upon a time, I was whole. Once upon a time, I had never truly had my heart broken. Once upon a time, Someone loved me. Once upon a time, I wasn’t alone. Once upon a time, someone finally made me feel… something. Once upon a time, the feelings that once were there disappeared. Once upon a time, someone broke my heart. Once upon a time, I was forced to be alone. Once upon a time was in the past, but now, I have you.

But each story has two sides. Every Giant has their harp. And it’s time for me to sing my song.

Twice upon a time, there was a beautiful girl.  This girl had eyes as deep and flawlessly flawless as oceans that men would gladly dive into, unknowing of the monsters that lurk within their depths. This girl had a voice as smooth as silk, that men would gladly envelop themselves in, oblivious to the silver tongued serpent that spun it which was hidden within. This girl had skin as perfect as a blank canvas, that men would paint over and over with the brushes of their hands; the bristles of their fingers, unaware of the entrancing tenebrism of the white slate in front of them, designed to avert their attention from the underlying blackness beneath its seemingly innocent facade. She wandered into my life, with a story to tell. And I listened, and became a part of it. I dissected it when things went wrong when she left me in pieces, and now, I shall tell you my story, intertwined with hers. Twice upon a time, she told me she was once whole. Twice upon a time, she had broken many hearts before mine. Twice upon a time, I loved her… More than anything in the entire world. Twice upon a time, I had my first taste of not being alone. Twice upon a time, someone finally made me feel… Anything. Twice upon a time, the feelings that were there stayed, but faded from her. Twice upon a time, She broke my soul. Twice upon a time, I was forced to be alone. Again. Twice upon a time was in the past, and now… she has you.
