Twin Towers

Be all ears bravery, has been seen.

Identical brothers, no longer invincible,

have been beaten and besieged.

A hero in red, rushes to the rescue

while masses escape, the engulfed pillars of pain.

Squeals from mobs, with screams of sirens

go unheard in the head of the courageous hero.

Higher he rises, breathing becomes heavier and harder.

Committed to the pledge, he continues in the pillars of pain.

He saves the lives of many, as he selflessly risks his own.

The steal smoky structure begins to soften and shrink.

The hero in red is unrecognizable, now black with soot and sediment.

Although fearing the forthcoming of his future, he ascends another flight.

The ground beneath him begins to shake as he begins to shiver and shudder.

Never to be seen again, but always remembered as the hero in red.
