Twinkling Duck
a star in the distance
I twinkle and shine
not the brightest one
I don't want to be
as bright as the sun
So on the internet I put things that are me
but still, there's stuff you don't even see
Sometimes I like to go away
not think
not talk
not sleep
I put toothpaste on my pimples
and I smile in the mirror to try and find some dimples
I'm always tired
I stay up so late
I like being the only one awake
my own world at my feet
Late at night, I eat lunch meat
I value beauty and intellegence more than I should
I wish that I didn't have to try at either
I wish my life was easier
I wish I had more money
No crap,
I want to be able to pull my college tution out of my pocket
Do expensive things on the weekends
But that's not real
so here I am,
writing poetry that no one will understand
I thought about spicing it up
But the real me would just leave it up to luck
so this is me
not giving a duck
I don't curse and I wouldn't give you my duck
