The Twist of a Tail

The little mermaid wanted to be free

she searched the entire sea

she went to Ursula for feet

but all she got was defeat

she saw her lover wash up by the tide

she new this was her time

she went up to him and spoke

all she could do is choke

she was mezmerized by his beauty

she learned his name

but could not stay

she went back to the ocean

but she knew is was not meant to be

she saw the cruel human everyone had seen

so she married a merman and had a kid or two

and became queen of the ocean

the man she met that she knew the name of

though of her presence it turned him mad

he went to sea and search for his to be

he searched so deep he forgot to breath

he died in the sea searching for his wife to be

i guess if he was a merman the thought of them could be a possability.
